There are book reviews, author interviews, editing, marketing and promotion just to name a few and I’m taking advantage of them all and more.
I write two blogs Lynnette’s Book World and Lynnette’s Book Marketing; I write book reviews and interview authors and I host a program on Blog Talk Radio also called Lynnette’s Book World.
I continue to work as an editing professional and as a book marketing coach/consultant and service provider. To make marketing a little easier for authors I created ‘Book Marketing on Auto Pilot’, a plan that can be customized for each individual that helps organize marketing tasks and shows them how to limit the time spent away from other more pleasant duties.
I have also authored several self publishing and book marketing guides available on Amazon.com. These include ‘Book Bloggers Sell Books!’, a must have for anyone thinking of a virtual blog tour and ’Publish and Market Your Novel As An e-Book’.
I have written articles published web-wide covering subjects as diverse as legal questions, real estate, ergonomics and software usage tips and how-to information and have been published in the News Mirror in Yucaipa, California as well as the Manhattan Mercury in Kansas.
Everything I’ve ever done has involved marketing and promotion: volunteer, office administrator, small business owner, independent contractor, real estate agent… But I’ve finally found the right niche.
I have also found that, 1) many authors aren’t prepared to market their work; authors want to write, not sell. As I said before, this was the inspiration for ‘Book Marketing on Auto Pilot’.
2) Book marketing employs many of the same principles and methods as marketing anything else (but it is so much more enjoyable).
3) I needed to educate myself further about book marketing. I supplemented the marketing principles I was already familiar with by adding webinars, teleseminars, reading and finally practice and experience.
One of the principles I’ve always been very conscious of no matter what I was marketing is that there is a very big difference between marketing and advertising. That difference is money. Advertising can be very expensive. I rarely had a very large advertising budget so I learned to use creativity and planning in place of money. Book marketing is no different.
Creativity and planning is what I have based all of my book marketing tips on and now I’d like to share some of what I have learned with you.
Emily Hill, publisher, writer and novelist has generously agreed to share a few of her more notable bits of advice gleaned from marketing her own and clients books also.
The Key to Successful Marketing is Promotion,

P.S.: Please visit my blogs: Lynnette’s Book World and Lynnette’s Book Marketing
Follow me on Twitter @LynnettesBooks and Facebook http://www.facebook.com/lynnette.phillips
I look forward to receiving your email with any questions or comments.Lynnette Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13668553593417033480noreply@blogger.com
