Review: Butterfly Hollow by Maria Cisneros Toth #MG #Depression

Charlene is heart broken. They've taken her Daddy away for murdering Otis Beecher. He didn't do it the Gator-Man did. Momma is so sad she just sleeps and seems like she's bent on swilling all of Daddy's moonshine since she can't buy anymore headache medicine. If anyone is going to do something it's up to Charlene.

Charlene's first adventure: Find her Daddy's remaining moonshine jugs and sell it to his regular customers - she's hungry.

You'll love Charlene's courage and persistence and Mrs. Toth guides us through her adventures with her friends in tow. There's never an idea, thought or detail missed but you never have to worry about the action stopping or slowing down so they won't be missed.

About the Author

Maria was born and raised in Southern California where she still lives today with her husband of 35 years, Joey, and their two spoiled dogs, Jack and Sally. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, and she is a huge Tim Burton Nightmare Before Christmas fan. An advocate of children’s literacy, she has a background in journalism. Maria has always been drawn to books and movies with main characters who are writers, and she is a big softie for dogs woven into stories. Maria and her husband raised two wonderful sons, Joey and Karl. She adores her grandchildren, the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and mango-flavored iced tea. Other books by Maria include the Monster Moon Mystery series. She co-wrote the first two middle-grade books under the pseudonym BBH McChiller with her two ZomBuddies, Lynn Kelley and Kathryn Sant. Titles include Curse at Zala Manor and Secret of Haunted Bog. Both books are available as ebooks and hardback.

The Billionaire's Curse #BookTrailer #KidLit

Gerald Wilkins never considered himself a particularly exceptional thirteen-year-old. But that was before he inherited twenty billion pounds, a Caribbean island, a yacht, and three estates from a great-aunt he never knew. With this fortune, however, comes a letter. One from his great-aunt Geraldine. One that tells Gerald that she was murdered, and that it's up to him to find out why.
Along with his friends Ruby and Sam, Gerald embarks on a journey that will lead him from the British Museum to dodgy social clubs for the disgustingly rich to mansions in the English countryside to secret places far underground. Who was Geraldine Archer? And what secrets was she hiding? Unless Gerald, Sam, and Ruby can find out before the killer does, they may be next.

I WAS A SEVENTH GRADE MONSTER HUNTER (THE STOKER LEGACY: BOOK ONE) By A.G. Kent #kindle #middlegrade Fun Enthralling

MonsterHunterFinalCover12 year-old Hannah read Grandpa’s note again. What had he been thinking? His letter made her worry even more than before. Maybe he forgot she couldn’t do magic? Who were the allies of mankind and why was she supposed to summon them? She followed the instructions, said the incantation and then waited…and waited. Magic was so much harder than she’d ever thought.

People called Grandpa eccentric; maybe that was why he claimed to come from a long line of monster hunters and why he thought she had ‘skills’. But he always made her feel special – not strange or different – like other people did. So, with the help of the bickering creature crew, she was going to find Grandpa and bring him home.

A.G. Kent has created a story so full of action, strange creatures and peculiar events it makes you wonder how much of this might have been inspired by his own adventures. Whatever the inspiration, the result is an adventure that will keep your favorite ‘tween’ enthralled to the very end.

ABOUT A.G. KENT

Before becoming a writer, A.G. Kent led an adventurous life: performing with rock bands, panning for gold in the mountains of Idaho, scuba-diving in the Florida Keys, investigating hauntings in the North Woods, and exploring ghost towns in Arizona. Kent’s expedition to Mt. Everest had to be cancelled when raging yeti made off with the base camp gear. Sales of this book will help mount a new expedition to photograph the shy but very aggressive creatures. So buy two copies, one for you and one for a friend, if you’d like to see what the abominable snowmen really look like!

Available on Amazon Kindle for only $.99 ~ Treat your favorite "’tween’ today!
