Water for Elephants: A Novel |
I didn't want this beautiful story to end...If possible I'd give it 10 stars!
Jacob, at 90 or 93--he can't remember which, relives running away to the circus after leaving veterinary school during the beginning of the great Depression. Ringling Brothers it is not.
Sara Gruen's debut novel spent 2 years on the New York Times bestseller list. I visualied so many scenes from the novel in live action, which takes a great author to accomplish, and now it's going to be a movie featuring one of my favorite actors, Hal Holbrooke. Can the movie live up to the book? It won't be easy.
