Libraries revamp themselves in Internet era

Karrissa Holtz visits the Alachua County Headquarters Library on East University Avenue two or three times a week to use the Internet and check out books.
Recently she used the computer to apply for jobs through the Regional Transit System website.
"If it wasn't for the library, I'd have no idea where to get Internet," she said.
Holtz said she regularly uses all of the library resources she can find.
"It's not just one resource here. They have books, computers, the newspaper," she said. "It's a one-stop shop, but it's all free."
